GARDENS OF BOUDAR

By tradition, every agricultural plot in the palm grove has its own name to identify it. Before the creation of the Ecolodge, this land was also an agricultural plot, called BOUDAR.

This old Berber word literally translates as “MEETING”.

Located at the entrance to the gardens of the palm grove, this was a permanent meeting point around its thriving freshwater well, still much appreciated by villagers today.

These are the values that Adel and Camille promote at La palmeraie. In a location of generous nature, we perpetuate and share the art of Moroccan hospitality and the culture of the Amazighs (Berbers).

The Ecolodge is a place that has been built up as funds became available and as people met, and which is still being constantly improved.
