ECOTOURISM
Our commitment to sustainable and responsible ecotourism is first of all a personal commitment that we have believed in for many years.
As a result of many meetings, sharing and personal reflections, we are convinced that it is possible to be a tourism structure while having a positive and virtuous impact on the local territory and with the village’s inhabitants.
What’s more, this commitment is essential to us because of the ecolodge’s geographical location: the palm grove is a fragile ecosystem that suffers from numerous human impacts (urbanization, drought, deforestation, bayod…). Simply because we love this unique place, we do everything we can to preserve it.
Various sustainable actions and gestures are being implemented within the ecolodge, each initiative requiring time, financial investment and practical adaptation to make it sustainable. We still have many projects and dreams for improvement, but we prefer each gesture to be first anchored by the whole team before introducing new ones.

For many years now, we’ve been trying to develop sustainable and organic farming in our gardens, and our knowledge has been strengthened by various discussions, agro-ecology training courses and exchanges with former local farmers. Every year, we plant many trees in the Ecolodge and in the palm grove, and we also try to reproduce local seeds. Learning and applying knowledge is an ongoing process, but essential for adapting our farming to recurring droughts.
